A look back at DINOSAR’s trip to Cali, Colombia in August 2025

In late August, the DINOSAR team crossed the Atlantic for a special mission in Cali, Colombia. On August 22, most of the project partners reunited on site, warmly welcomed by our Colombian partner AgroAp. Together with the rest of the consortium joining online, we held our mid-term General Assembly – a key moment to look back on the progress achieved so far and to plan the road ahead.

Just a couple of days later, on the evening of August 24, our team had the honor of attending the opening ceremony of the ISSCT 2025 Congress, hosted by Tecnicaña.

From August 25 onwards, DINOSAR was present at the congress with a dedicated booth for four exciting days – a lively hub where we shared our work, met new people, and built connections across the sugarcane community.

The journey didn’t end there. On August 29, the team visited Cenicaña and Providencia, two key players in Colombian sugarcane research and production, for enriching discussions about collaboration and knowledge exchange. Find out more about these meetings in our dedicated news section.

Finally, on August 30, the partners flew back to Europe.

This mission in Colombia was more than just a meeting: it was a milestone, bringing DINOSAR’s work to the international stage and weaving stronger links with our Colombian partner, and expanding our network.
